The Department of Health (DOH) has shared its latest monitoring data that they are doing on coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) cases in the country.

According to the department's latest record, 82 covid-19 recovered today while the casualties for today is 13.

In total, the number of recoveries reached to 435 while the casualties reached to 362. The government is also making up to 38,108 for covid-19 testing. 85.2 percent of those who underwent testing came out negative, while only 14.7 percent were positive.

Some of the decisions that the government is doing to fight the rapid spread of covid-19 is the enhance community quarantine of the entire island of Luzon. The government has recently extended the quarantine up to April 30th.

“Provided, that all exemptions granted by the Office of the President or the IATF shall continue to be in effect for the duration of the extended ECQ… Provided further that such extension of the ECQ shall be without prejudice to the discretion of the President to relax the implementation of the ECQ in some local jurisdictions, or the granting of exemptions in favor of certain sectors, as public health considerations and food security may warrant,” according to Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles. 

The World Health Organization (WHO) praised the Duterte Administration's decision to enhance community quarantine. This is why a larger covid-19 outbreak was lessened.
