Kamakailan lang ay nag viral sa social media ang paghahanap sa mga alkalde ng ibat ibang lungsod sa Luzon na kun

Naging viral rin sa social media ang ginawang press conference ng alkalde ng Quezon City na kung saan humihingi ito ng karagdagang budget para sa susunod na buwan sa gobyerno.

Ayon kay Joy Belmonte alkalde ng Quezon City, nanawagan ito sa gobyerno na dagdagan ang kanilang budget sa susunod na buwan.

Nangako rin si Belmonte na tutulungan niya ang mahigit nasa 400,000 na pamilya sa Quezon City.

“Tayo po yung may pinakamalaki at pinakamaraming sustentuhan in the few weeks leading up to April 12,”

“Next week, March 23 to March 27, QC will be able to provide food for these 400,000 families. The week after that, the QC gov’t will again be able to provide for them,” dagdag pa nito.

Nanawagan rin siya sa mga barangay captains na gamitin ang kanilang mga quick response fund para tulungan ang kanilang mga nasasakupan.

“Gamitin niyo para pambili ng pagkain para sa mga nawalan ng kabuhayan, dahil it will take time for the city government to procure food supplies for 400,000 families,” pahayag pa ni Joy.

Ayon pa sa kaniya, baka umano magkulang ang kanilang budget sa darating na ika-apat na linggo para sa community quarantine.

“Sa ika-apat na linggo, medyo magkukulang na po ang pondo ng lungsod, sapagkat ang quick response fund po natin ay mauubos na, at ang halaga nito ay P400-M lang ata, and we have other things to take care of katulad hospital equipment” ayon pa sa kanya.

“We are now appealing to the DSWD, national government na sana tulungan naman nila kami sa lungsod ng Quezon,” dagdag pa nito.
